New:
1) I learned how to juggle. finally.
2) I am taking up swing dancing lessons at a pub in town. It has a live band at the end of the night too with swing music and is such a blast.
3) I am enjoying cooking and cleaning, as mentioned in my previous blog.
Old-ish:
1) I am exploring. Today I went on a 3 hour bike ride by myself through the countryside. It was awesome.
2) I am meeting new people. I have made friends from all over the world. I now know(pretty well I'd say) people from Ireland, Canada, Germany, South Africa, France, Prague, Spain, and from the other side of the USA(east coasters and such). I also have randomly met people from Mexico, Brazil, Nigeria, Kenya, Australia, Chile, etc.
3) I went to the beach. There's a song called "Galway Girl" (look it up, from P.s. I Love You) and it mentions the 'Salt Hill Prom(promenade)' and I walked down that. I am slowly fitting the description of the Galway Girl. =]
Random fact: Apparently the majority of the world has never heated up water in a mug in the microwave for making tea or hot chocolate...AND has never even heard or thought of using a microwave for that. Weird how things you think are normal really aren't...haha. Preface to this ^^^: I was at a Bible study tonight and afterwords we somehow got to talking about tea and I mentioned how in America I don't use an electric kettle to warm up water for tea because I just put the water in the mug and warm it up in the microwave. Many people(From 3 diff countries) were shocked by this statement and had never heard of anyone doing that before. I will never forget the look on one of my friends' faces from Germany who said, "Heating up water in a microwave?!...I would have NEVER thought of that." I love when we all discover these types of things. I could not stop laughing because I have been doing that for my whole life and never questioned it and everyone over here has never done or heard of it. In fact, this is what my friend just said on facebook jokingly: "Now I know what you crazy Americans are doing over there!" haha, so great.
