- Airport, met the other API(Academic Programs International) students, & got on a shuttle to Galway (& saw fields of GREEN and SHEEP and heard ACCENTS!)
- Spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to turn on the shower(turned off all the electricity accidentally in the process) and then called other random apartments asking whoever answered if they knew how to use the phones/showers
- Spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to turn on the heater
- Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get out of the apartment complex doors (there are random switches for everything here & I am scared to press them in case they are the wrong thing)
- Walk/meeting with the API director and group
- Went to the grocery store and got lost about 5 times on the way back (in the little woods with fog and a marsh carrying a bunch of bags haha...Don't worry mom it's not as bad as it sounds! This is a safe place =] ). Anyways, now we know the area a little better so thats good! haha
Random Ireland Facts: They use military time here, respond to "thank you" with "no bother", and they don't have grocery bags at the store(it is a state law that you have to use a reusable bag or none at all-very sustainable!)
